US and Israeli flags are projected on the wall of Jerusalem old city by the Jaffa Gate for a visit by President Joe Biden to Israel to attend the opening ceremony of the 21st Maccabiah Games in 2022.
On the night that President Biden arrived into Jerusalem, I walked to the Jaffa Gate to find massive projections of the US Flag and Israeli Flag stretching across the ancient wall. Locals barely paid any attention to the majestic site that seemed so out-of-place in the historical context. It was one of my favorite images on the trip.
